The Thought Process
It's a fact... this is your kitchen, but we design it together. Most Clients find this an enlightening and empowering experience. Some discover that they already had the vision of what the kitchen would look and feel like and just needed someone to listen and bring that vision to life in a systematic way.

This positive process brings a greater sense of 'ownership' as the design is turned into reality.
Truly bespoke.

1. THE VISIT A living-breathing kitchen cannot be designed in isolation in a showroom from a set of room dimensions. We need to know how does the natural light fall in the room?, what are the natural traffic flow patterns, where are the sight lines?, and most importantly what does the room actually 'feel' like, its ambience.

Having arranged a mutually convenient time for a home visit - allow about 2 hours - we use a system of finely honed questions and practical evaluations developed over many years to leave you confident that you have made the right choices from the various options that we will suggest.

This would be the time for you to tell us whether you want us to take responsibility for any additional works such as building, plumbing or electrical work, so we can put the appropriate trades in place to ensure the various stages progress sequentially without intervening delays.

2. THE DESIGN
Back in the office a set of drawings of the ideal layout is prepared. Where more than one design solutions presents itself a number of drawings will be produced for you to consider. A four or five page design brief is also produced explaining the reasoning behind the designs and highlighting any areas requiring further thought or consideration.

A detailed budget costing is also generated which allows for adjustments should you wish to adapt your budget priorities.

We have no minimum order value for projects as all our costings are based on the time it takes and materials used. For guidance our kitchen projects range between £4000 and £40,000 (including, granite worktops, fitting and VAT but excluding appliances).

3. THE FOLLOW UP VISIT This is when you see the first fruits of your ideas and can make comments, suggestions and modifications. A plan drawing shows a 'birds eye' of the layout indicating positions of units and appliances, and walk-through widths in the room. Elevation drawings show what the various views will look like when you stand in front of them.

We leave the drawings, deign brief and budget breakdown with you so all interested parties involved in the projects can make considered, un-pressured decisions.

There is no financial obligation involved up to this point.

4. MANUFACTURE
Once you have decided on the design, materials, finishes, and appliances, we set a firm installation date and proceed to manufacture.

By its nature a bespoke kitchen takes longer to produce than standard 'off the shelf' furniture, typically 6-10 weeks from commissioning to delivery depending on workload. This allows sufficient time for working drawings to be produced, materials to be ordered, and appliance availability to be confirmed.

5. INSTALLATION
We will contact you a week before the installation date just to ensure any preliminary works have been completed and that all is well. If temporary storage space is not available on site the kitchen can usually be delivered on the day the fitters commence installation.

Your designer will be accessible throughout the whole period of the installation to answer any queries or concerns you may have, and will call at regular intervals to review progress.

6. PERSONAL INSPECTION Your satisfaction is important to us. Near to completion we will encourage you to take some time to look over the installation and if there is anything you are unhappy with to let the fitters (in the first instance) or ourselves know as soon as possible.

At sign-off we will personally visit to make a final detailed inspection and if all is well collect the outstanding balance.
